Press Conference- Presentation of the Pair Program for the city of Anjou

The Pair Home Calling service is now being offered in Anjou, thanks to the collaboration of Elder Help and Referral Service (SARA). Inaugurated at the beginning of the month in the presence of MP Lise Thériault, the daily calling program is now automated and free.

The Salon : my overall health – Montreal

October 17 and 18, 2015

Pair held an information booth at the Salon Ma Santé globale on October 17 and 18 at the Marché Bonsecours in Montreal.

The Pair Development Officers who attented the show took the opportunity to promote this essential security service.

In addition, bookmarks with safety tips were distributed to the fair participants. We were able to explain the free Pair service to all family members who came to our booth.

Press conference - The Pair program is now offered throughout the MRC of Pierre-De Saurel

Pair was present at the press conference where the Pierre-De Saurel MRC committed, with the Sorel-Tracy Fire Safety Service (SSIST), the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and the Table de concertation des aînés Pierre-De SaurelFrom Saurel, to make possible the expansion of the Pair program throughout the territory.

Starting November 2, citizens of the 12 municipalities will now be able to benefit from the service. The Pierre-De Saurel MRC and it's partners want to increase seniors' sense of security and help seniors to stay at home in their communities as long as possible. This commitment is also part of the RCN’s Seniors Policy and the Table de concertation’s action plan, which brings together more than 20 organizations in the territory concerned about the safety and the health of seniors.

Thanks to the generosity of a sponsor interested in Pair’s mission and who works tirelessly to save lives in Quebec through the service of the Pair program, which is offered in 79% of Quebec’s territory. The $15,000 offered by Résidences Sélection Sec III Inc. will be used to ensure the continuation of this free service, which is so important for retirees living alone, those who are losing their autonomy, those whose health needs special attention, or those who often forget to take their medication or to eat.

Program pair presentation at the INCA-Québec

June 4th, 2015

As part of the Quebec Week of Persons with Disabilities, Pair was invited by CNIB-Quebec to present an information session on the Pair program. The event took place at the CNIB-Quebec office in Montreal. This activity was also offered by teleconference to people living outside of Montreal.

The representatives of the provincial office were able to make a presentation of Pair accompanied by the recorded messages of Michel Louvain, spokesperson of the Program and subsequently answer the questions of the participants.

Salon des aînés of La Tuque

April 29, 2015

In partnership with the La Tuque agency, Pair participated, as an exhibitor, at the Salon des aînés  on April 29, 2015 at the Club de l'âge d'or of La Tuque.

The Salon’s mission was to introduce the resources and services available to help and support seniors and their families by providing them with a good quality of life on a daily basis.

Pair took the opportunity to make themselves known in the region by distributing flyers, presenting information about the service and talking with visitors.


Salon Mieux-Vivre of Gatineau

February 28 and march 1st, 2015


​Pair held an information booth at the Salon Mieux-Vivre on February 28 and March 1. Visitors who showed up to better understand our organization’s mission were able to learn that a Pair agency was operational in Gatineau. Pair took the opportunity to promote this agency that offers a range of services in the municipality.

The Quebec Development Officer and the President who attended the show took the opportunity to promote the Pair security service in this region.

Pamphlets showing the contact information for the Pair agency in the community and notebooks were distributed during these two days, hoping that the impact will benefit the Gatineau agency.

Several information kiosks for seniors offered diverse services. These services were likely to  interest not only to seniors, but to all age groups too, which allows us to explain the free Pair service to all family members who may be interested

20th anniversary of the Pair agency of Memphremagog

December 4th, 2014


To mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Pair agency in Memphremagog, a press conference was held on 4 December 2014. The President of Pair, in her speech, congratulated the members of the Pair committee for its longevity in promoting and offering the security service throughout the MRC. Their daily work has saved nearly a dozen lives. 

Pair now has more than 140 subscribers across the Memphremagog MRC. Annually, this represents nearly 30,000 surveillance calls.

Participation in the National Philanthropy Day in Montreal

Pair participation at the annual gathering to mark National Philanthropy Day, celebrated in Canada every November 15.

Organized by the Fondation of Greater Montréal, this activity has helped to paint a picture of active philanthropy and is being challenged by needs that are still growing in the Greater Montreal area and in Quebec. We also learned about several initiatives from different groups supported by the Foundation.

Press conference of the «Regional round table of seniors in the center of Quebec».

As part of National Seniors Safety Week, the Regional Table took the opportunity to implement action that promotes the safety of seniors in Centre-du-Québec on a daily basis. This project, announced at a press conference in Bécancour on November 4, which Pair attended, affects more than 1,000 seniors living in about 60 communities in the Centre-du-Québec region. Pair and the community agency are an integral part of this project aimed at seniors' safety.
